Music and the Market

– The combined event of the Paola Farmers Market and the summer performance series Music on the Square.

Saturday evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM on Paola’s Park Square.

Discover Historic Paola, in collaboration with the Miami County Arts Council, offers Music and the Market.

The Music

Music on the Square is the classic summer performance series that has long been part of Saturday nights in downtown Paola.

Bring a lawn chair to join the live performance audience on Park Square. Performances start at 7:30 and run through sunset.

The Market

In 2021, the long-running Saturday Paola Farmers Market moved to evenings to become part in this joint event. We had nearly two dozen registered vendors and started offering centralized point-of-sale, with the ability to accept credit card, debit cards, and EBT benefit cards for SNAP. In addition, most vendors (where eligible) accepted Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks.

All Market vendors are located within 50 miles of Paola. In the 2021 season our farmers brought fresh local meats, poultry, produce, jams & jellies, eggs, baked goods, cut flowers, and other home-made, hand-made goods and products coming from our own Kansas soil.
