Putting Healthy Food Within Reach
Discover Historic Paola has been approved to accept SNAP at the farmers market.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program) payments are made through EBT (Electronic Benefit Transaction) cards on our centralized Paola Farmer’s Market point of sale.
Reduce hunger and food insecurity. Reduce poverty. Improve dietary intake and health, especially for children. Help the local economy by keeping food retail local.
If you or someone you know uses SNAP benefits, they can shop with the Paola Farmers Market at our summer Saturday event, Music and the Market! Join us for live music performances Saturday nights at Paola’ Park Square and shop for fresh food from your neighbors, more than a dozen local farmers.
Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Check Accepted
Those receiving Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (KSFMNP) checks can also shop with many of the farmers participating at the Paola Farmers Market. This program cannot be centralized, so individual farmers choose to participate and accept checks.
